The 3.5LS stand is the perfect stand for backlights or hair lights, ideal for hiding a flash unit directly behind your subject to light your backdrop or to cast a rim light on your subject. The 3-section light stand has a 3.5-inch maximum height, with a 20.5-inch maximum footprint, collapsing to 16.5 inches for travel. The stand weighs a total of 2 pounds, and is only suitable for units with lightweight accessories such as grids, gels, the background reflector, and umbrellas.

3.5LS: The 3.5LS is suitable for holding all AlienBees™, Einstein™ and Zeus™ units as well as the White Lightning™ X-Series X800 and X1600 units. The stand is not for use with the heavier White Lightning™ X-Series X3200 units. The stand is designed for using flash units with lightweight accessories such as grids, gels, the background reflector and small umbrellas. As the stand is lightweight, it is not suitable for large and/or heavy accessories (such as softboxes, the PLM™ system, large umbrellas, etc.).

Using Our Light Stands With Flash Units From Other Manufacturers: We cannot make claims regarding the suitability of our light stands when used with various flash units from other manufacturers. As the connection is a standard 1/4-20 stud, the stands are designed to fit flash units with stand mounts measuring up to 5/8-inch.

Using Light Stand Accessories From Other Manufacturers: We cannot make claims regarding the suitability of various accessories (such as casters, boom arm attachments, etc.) from other manufacturers. Do not attach heavy boom arms and counterweights to this stand.
